Hotel Empire, Bangalore, Karnataka...

Hej! I have definitely arrived in this crazy country, or continent - it as wild, or even wilder, than I imagined...don't know what to say...I am still in a state of shock.. :-)
When I got out of the plane, what struck me were 3 things; the heat (28 deg C at 1 o'clock in the morning!), the amount of people everywhere - it is so dense that you can hardly move and, the smell - or rather the mixture of a thousand smells. Then of course, the traffic, the speed, the pollution, the women dressed in colourful clothes...beautiful. Today I took a ride with an autorickshaw to get a couple of cotton outfits to wear, then I went back to the hotel for a fantastic, super spicy and curried "vegetarian thali" for lunch - it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time - and I only paid 99 Rs, which is around 1,40 euros !!! I have also managed to get an Indian SIM card for the phone, for that I had to go and get an id photo made, plus a copy of my passport, but, I have a number: +91 968 623 4093, yeay! Tonight I will take a rest, watch TV - another adventure - and sleep early...no photos yet, well, there are some but it's complicated on this computer, I am in the hotel lobby, will go to another internet caf, maybe tomorrow evening...Love from "Incredible India" xxx

Cuando aterrizé en India por primera vez (Delhi, 1989) tuve las mismas tres bofetadas: el calor, los olores y la multitud, además de una botella de Kampa Cola, que la tenían de "decoración" en el bar del aeropuerto. No vendían bebidas frias. solo Tchai.

Ojito con las motos y las bicis. Tu vida peligra, je je. Disfruta, puñetera. Besos multiples. Rosi.
